Zero Motorcycles Recalls Off-Road Motorcycles Due to Crash Hazard

Zero Motorcycles, the manufacturer of the 2009 Zero X and Zero MX Off-Road Motorcycles, has recalled the aforesaid products and recommends that consumers immediately discontinue the use of same because the throttle can become stuck in the open position or become disconnected. While in the "Easy" or the "0 -25" mode, this can result in loss of control and serious injury to the rider due to unexpectedly reaching full power when turning on the power. The manufacturer advises that it has received reports of unexpected acceleration resulting in injuries to the rider. The recalled motorcycles are white with the Zero name and logo printed on the battery. Zero has dealers nationwide and sold the recalled products from December 2008 to August 2009 ranging in price between $7,500 and $8,300. For additional information, contact Zero Motorcycles toll-free at 888.786.9376 or 888.RUN-ZERO between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday or visit the manufacturer's Website at http://www.zeromotorcycles.com/
