Ocean Technology Systems Recalls Guardian Full-Face Diving Masks Due to Visor Separation Hazard

Undersea Systems International, Inc. doing business as Ocean Technology Systems has recalled its Guardian Full-Faced Masks due to reports that the clear plastic visor has dislodged causing the mask to flood if significant pressure is applied vertically to the top and bottom of the visor clamp. The recall includes the Guardian full-face mask along with the second stage regulator that goes into the mask which provides for the diver's full face to be covered by the mask. The masks were sold nationwide via direct sales and through diving equipment retailers from March 2009 to August 2009 for a cost of approximately $800. Consumers are directed to immediately discontinue the use of the diving masks and contact Ocean Technology systems to receive a free repair by contacting Ocean Technology Systems. Ocean Technology Systems will send the consumer the stainless steel clamps to secure the plastic visor. For additional information, contact Ocean Technology Systems toll-free at 877.270.1984 anytime or visit the firm’s website at www.otscomm.com.
