Honda Issues Recall of Acura 2010 MDX Vehicles Due To Possible Missing Bolt in A-Pillar Causing Risk of Injury By Improper Side Airbag Deployment

American Honda Motors (Honda) has issued a recall of the Acura 2010 MDX vehicles manufactured between October 7, 2009 and November 14, 2009, because a bolt used to attach an interior trim piece to either the driver's side or passenger's side "A-Pillar" may not have been installed during manufacturing. The missing bolt may result in an improper or untimely discharge of the side airbag causing risk of injury to the driver and/or front seat passenger. Consumers should immediately take their vehicle to a local dealer to inspect the interior trim piece of the A-pillar and if a bolt is missing to have it installed free of charge.
