Another Testimony of the Effects of Texting While Driving

Although the Federal Government has recently issued regulations prohibiting drivers from texting while driving commercial motor trucks and buses, it is up to the individual states to issue laws prohibiting such conduct involving noncommercial motor vehicles. As noted in the aforementioned video, death and mayhem are the results of texting while operating a motor vehicle. Texting and driving do not mix, and legislators in those states that do not consider this activity "illegal" should reconsider their stand on this issue given recent studies published which establish that one texting while driving is 23.2 times as likely to become in a crash or near crash incident.
