CO2 Bicycle Tire Inflators Recalled Due to Risk of Injury

Todson, Inc., the importer of Zefal EZ+ inflator, designed to be used for inflating bicycle tires (sold exclusively at Walmart), has recalled the product, because the accompanying pressurized carbon dioxide cartridge may separate from the pump head posing a risk of injury to the ultimate consumer or user. The metal cartridge is threaded into the inflator head and is designed to allow a controlled release of carbon dioxide into the bicycle inner tube. Model number 5602 and UPC number 798661556020 are printed on the back. Consumers should immediately discontinue using the inflator and return them to Walmart for a full refund. For additional information, go to the firm's website at www.todson.com or call the firm at 800.213.4561 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (Eastern Time) Monday through Friday. The continued use of any recalled product poses a risk of injury to the consumer.
