OKK Trading, Inc. of Los Angeles, CA has recalled the "Action Team" Toy Dart Gun Set manufactured by Kong Hoi Industrial Co., of Hong Kong, China, because of a risk that a child may place the soft, pliable plastic dart in the child's mouth which is likely to cause the child to choke or aspirate on the dart thereby impairing the child's ability to breathe. If the dart is not immediately removed, the plastic dart may cause brain injury or death. There has been at least one reported death of an 8 year old boy who was chewing on the toy dart and inadvertently swallowed it lodging the dart into the child's throat blocking his ability to breathe resulting in the death of the child. The play set has a toy gun with 3 soft rubber darts, a S.W.A.T. watch, baton, walkie-talkie and badge with a clip and an ID card. The soft, pliable orange plastic darts have a nearly 2 ½ inch long shaft and an approximately ¾ inch diameter suction cup. The toy gun is black with an orange nose and trigger and red spring release mechanism. “Made in China” is printed on one side of the barrel.
Consumers should immediately remove the recalled dart gun sets away from children and contact OKK Trading to return the toy for a $3 refund.
