Honda Recalls Various Vehicles Due to Injury or Death Caused by Defect Airbag Deployment

American Honda Motors Corporation has issued a recall of its 2001-2002 Accord (2 and 4-door); 2001-2003 Civic (4-door); 2002 CRV; 2002 Odyssey; 2003 Pilot; 2002-2003 Acura 3.2TL; and 2003 ACURA 3.2CL, because the driver's side airbag inflator may cause injury or death to the vehicle's occupants due to the airbag inflator rupturing upon deployment allowing metal fragments to pass through the airbag cushion. Consumers should contact their local Honda dealer immediately to replace free of charge the inflator. This recall begins February 25, 2010 and Owners may call Honda's Automobile Customer Service at 800.999.1009 for more information.
